VP, Finance -- West Coast (Closed)

THE COMPANY

Our client is a leading private equity backed producer of organic ingredients.

THE POSITION

This individual will serve as the finance lead for the company, partnering with the CEO and department leaders to provide accurate and timely financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting. This will be supported by FP&A-driven business intelligence aimed at advancing initiatives for growth and operational excellence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administrative direction over general accounting team and functions: general ledger, payables and receivables, cash management, treasury functions and financial statement preparation.
  • Hire, train and evaluate accounting personnel as growth dictates.
  • Work with company management to develop department and companywide budgets.
  • FP&A in support of growth initiatives, including acquisitions and investment-specific business case development.
  • Formulate and establish accounting policies and procedures.
  • Analyze financial and operating reports to identify improvement opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Oversee all audit functions and interface with outside auditors.
  • Oversee timely filings of all tax returns and reports to regulatory agencies.
  • Oversee corporate insurance programs.

SALARY RANGE:

$220,000 -- $250,000

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or economics.
  • MBA or CPA.
  • Five years of accounting management.
  • Advanced Excel, FP&A, financial modeling experience; Syspro ERP experience highly desirable.
  • Manufacturing / distribution industry experience.
  • Experience within a fast-paced private equity environment a major plus.
