Vice President, sUPPLY cHAIN -- Flexible (Closed)

THE COMPANY

Our client is a provider of headborne systems and PPE.

THE POSITION

As the supply chain lead, this person will be accountable for providing leadership for a high-mix low-volume manufacturing organization, planning all aspects of the supply chain initiatives, policies and objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the sourcing, procurement, planning, SIOP and inventory optimization activities through a highly matrixed organization.
  • Direct and oversee the supply chain management team, including the commodity management, SIOP, planning and site materials execution leaders.
  • Establish repeatable processes that can be implemented across the organization through partnership with peers.
  • Lead supplier partnerships and contract negotiations.
  • Understand how to develop partnerships with DoD-related suppliers.
  • An expert regarding SIOP and data management as it relates to operations, inventory management and real-time reporting.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business or related discipline; MBA or M.S. preferred with CPM / APICS & CPIM certification.
  • Fifteen-plus years of progressive procurement / supply chain experience that includes strategic sourcing, supplier certification / quality and materials with at least five years in a supply chain senior leadership role.
  • Ability to develop and maintain capability and capacity management roadmaps that align with product and services roadmaps to achieve enterprise growth objectives.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Lean standard practices such as kanban triggers, visual controls, 5S/6S and kaizen events.; formal continuous improvement experience strongly preferred.
