Vice President, Operations -- Midwest (Closed)

THE POSITION

Execute on our client’s operational strategy, leading to the most dynamic and optimized output of global zinc production while getting to the low-cost sourcing and manufacturing position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive $30M-plus of EBITDA per year, including enhancements from technological innovation.
  • Build a strategic plan to achieve a pathway to $40M of EBITDA by 2023 and $50M of EBITDA by 2025.
  • Develop and implement Lean initiatives focusing on SIOP, production planning and other operational best practices to enhance productivity, quality, working capital utilization and manufacturing profitability.
  • Ensure that company services, operations and customer service meet and exceed customer expectations by providing outstanding quality and excellent service efficiently and profitably.
  • Hold the organization accountable to performance objectives, including specific targets and ROI commitments.
  • Provide guidance and engage with regional leads to deliver to Board a standardized operational business plan and roadmap that identifies and aligns with the company’s commercial strategy, regional strategy, investment thesis and integration strategy.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Fifteen-plus years of operations leadership experience within a highly complex, technical and faced-paced industrial environment with rigorous quality governance standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; MBA a plus.
  • Private equity backed company experience.
  • Experience designing, implementing and leading continuous improvement projects/ programs.
