THE POSITION

The VP will provide leadership and daily direction to implement strategic manufacturing initiatives at multiple sites. This position will be the driving force to enhance safety, improve product quality and improve product process flow while focusing on reducing cost of goods.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead business unit performance to new levels, increase capacity to meet fast growing demand.
• Consider facilities expansion and footprint optimization to meet demand and increase margins.
• Responsible for developing and implementing cost of goods reduction initiatives.
• Provide leadership to manufacturing engineering staff.
• Identify and solve manufacturing continuous improvement opportunities.
• Develop manufacturing strategies, plans and budgets that include manufacturing process goals and objectives.
• Develop and implement work cell environments with defined staffing requirements.
• Initiate advanced manufacturing programs in anticipation of the business environment and growth.
• Lead the development, acquisition and validation of new processes for manufacturing, sourcing, procurement, and logistics to meet business goals.
• Responsible for validation and implementation follow ups of continuous improvement initiatives as they relate to process flow, reduction in cost of goods and overall plant process safety.

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and 10-plus years’ experience leading manufacturing functions.
• Proven history or background of utilization of process intellect skills to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Basic understanding of ERP and MRP are required.
• Ability to approach all aspects in manufacturing with three common goals: workforce safety, workforce efficiency and reduction of cost of goods.
• Strong grasp of Lean manufacturing tools and experience driving a continuous improvement culture.
