THE POSITION
The VP will be responsible for developing the client’s Operating System, elevating it from its current Continuous Improvement focus to a more robust TPS - Lean & Six Sigma methodology.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Align with cross-functional business leaders to achieve 4% to 6% annual savings.
- Maintain accountability for establishing and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring performance meets company and customer strategies, requirements, and policies.
- Identify and harmonize “best practice” standards to reduce variation and waste, improve safety, quality and service.
- Foster sustainable change in Lean initiatives, including governance processes to update improvements over time and maintain accountability for measuring outcomes and reporting on KPIs.
- Educate global stakeholders on key differentiators in the Lean & Six Sigma space to effectively share the company’s approach to Operational Excellence.
- Deploy organizational structures to support transformation and ongoing activities.
- Provide transformational leadership and maintaining responsibility for overall operational excellence across the company’s footprint to give the company a competitive advantage.
- Lead and manage the global team in accordance with company policies, standard operating procedures, business operating plans and overarching corporate growth and strategy.
- Drive training and development of Lean & Six Sigma practices throughout the global direct and indirect organization.
SALARY RANGE
$240,000 – $260,000
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s degree or equivalent level of experience.
- Held multiple senior-level operating roles (including P&L responsibility) in global manufacturing organizations.
- Pedigree Lean training and experience.
- Demonstrated deep experience in leading a global Lean transformation.
- Strong, demonstrable experience and ability to improve KPIs using Lean Principles.
- Practitioner in Lean tools (Daily Management, Standard Work, SMED, TPM, Kanban, Kaizen, Strategy Deployment, etc.).
- Strong leadership style coupled with a collaborative nature, excellent interpersonal relationships and trainer’s skills.
