THE POSITION

The VP / GM will be an accomplished global business leader from a highly regarded manufacturing company known for operational and process excellence, continuous improvement and customer care. The individual will have experience developing exceptional strategic plans that achieve business goals and can successfully deliver profitable revenue growth year-over-year in highly competitive markets. The holder of this position must be an exceptional leader with experience developing individuals and teams. They should have the capability to create a results-oriented team culture that motivates and retains employees while demanding high performance. The successful candidate must possess the experience and capability to build a bench of future P&L talent.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead day-to-day and P&L management.
  • Lead the ideation, planning and implementation of the short- and long-term business strategies.
  • Oversee the company’s fiscal activity, including budgeting, reporting and auditing.
  • Anticipate and react swiftly to changing market opportunities and conditions.
  • Further develop and manage the footprint optimization strategy.
  • Act as the primary spokesperson for the company.
  • Develop the company’s culture and put robust plans in place to drive engagement.
  • Create an environment that promotes high performance, accountability and positive morale.
  • Assure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitored from a compliance perspective.
  • Drive the execution of product portfolio strategies in anticipation of rapidly evolving market requirements.
  • Support both organic and inorganic growth through the use of targeted customer and market strategies.
  • Ensure performance and the delivery of commitments is a key strength for the organization.
  • Confidently guide the business through variations in external market dynamics, prepare for challenges and take advantage of opportunities.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven global P&L experience leading growth-oriented businesses of at least $250M in revenue. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated a deep experience managing highly engineered, best-cost global businesses – including end-to-end P&L responsibility.
  • Relentless focus on operational results.
  • Experience driving organizational changes in a fast-paced, global environment with a hands-on leadership style.
  • Background in engineering and / or manufacturing roles; exposure to Lean and quality best practices is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience developing strategic product portfolio roadmaps.
  • Possess a strong understanding of product portfolios coupled with a strong customer orientation and value proposition / value creation.
  • Proven track record of growing businesses via leading technologies and strong commercial relationships.
