Our client is in the global steel industry.
THE POSITION
The VP of Global Human Resources will be responsible to transform the HR function into a value-added organizational business partner by leading HR strategy. This individual will engage and partner with all business units and functional groups to augment leadership talent; employee engagement and performance; and organizational capability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the design, implementation and ongoing evaluation of compensation and benefits programs that are competitive and relevant for our employees.
- Moral initiatives including things such as employee surveys, events and community activities – and keep current on the latest trends being offered to employees to improve retention and employee satisfaction.
- Oversee administration for all company benefit plans (medical, dental, LTD, STD, AD&D, Life and 401(k) and all voluntary benefits); and ensure offerings are competitive and innovative.
- Design and implement a Wellness Program.
- Assess company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives.
- Oversee all employee and labor relations.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree required in business, human resources or related field.; MBA or a master’s degree in human resources and / or relevant certifications preferred.
- Ability to build relationships at all levels within the organization.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in human resources, with at least five years of executive HR experience; and at least five years of international HR experience.
- Experience in industrial / field services environment.
