Vice President, Finance -- Southwest (Closed)

THE COMPANY

Our client is an engineering and construction consultancy firm.

THE POSITION

  • Lead and manage financial reporting rhythm and cadence monthly (platform bowler, on time delivery).
  • Manage 13-week cashflow projection model (weekly).
  • Budget compliant/adjusted EBITDA (monthly test).
  • Monthly forecast model (roll forward).
  • Champion continuous improvement efforts through knowledge and awareness, training, procurement (when necessary) and process improvement.
  • Provide input to the company’s growth and vision by updating, maintaining and executing portions of the company’s Strategic Plan and Strategy Deployment processes.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts by participating in the Coltala Enterprise System (CES), strategic planning initiatives, periodically leading A3 problem-solving teams and driving departmental improvements.
  • Communicate and liaise with other leaders to understand all necessary aspects and needs of operational development, and to ensure they are fully informed of operational objectives, purposes and achievements.
  • Ensure activities meet with and integrate with organizational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care.
  • Execute all responsibilities according to lawful and ethical standards as established by company policies and procedures.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field required; master’s degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management with exposure to financial planning and controls, accounting, forecasting and strategic planning with five-plus years managing, leading and developing a team.
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to think strategically and influence business decisions using appropriate, fact-based financial information.
  • Background working in a continuous improvement / Lean leadership culture with the ability to support and provide additional leadership in these efforts.
  • A background that includes working in professional services or consulting is preferred.
