Our client is a leader in the wall décor and print-on-demand industry.
THE POSITION
The SVP is responsible for the direction, strategy, planning and execution for the company’s operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the performance of the operations group.
- Supports company officers in the development of long- and short-term policies, programs and objectives.
- Coordinates development of operational requirements with the Sales & Marketing group.
- Develops the manufacturing priorities, plans and procedures.
- Directs all production planning, procurement, production, quality systems and shipping / receiving activities.
- Develops the operating budgets and cost reduction goals.
- Monitors performance against budgets and improvement goals.
- Recruits and develops the manufacturing team to support the operational priorities and goals.
- Establishes specific objectives and priorities for the performance of key managers.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business discipline; master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 to 20 years of executive leadership experience working in sizeable, fast-moving, entrepreneurial organizations with demonstrated P&L success. Multi-site experience is critical.
- Solid Lean implementation experience with a proven ability to effect change and develop a rapid continuous improvement culture.
- Strong leadership, project management and time management skills.
- A clear communicator with the ability to translate a business strategy into specific team objectives, breaking down organizational boundaries through collaboration to build strong relationships based on trust with all levels of employees.
- The candidate must be an engaged, working leader who is able to balance a day-to-day organizational focus with strategic initiatives.
