SVP, Operations -- Southeast (Closed)

Our client is a leader in the wall décor and print-on-demand industry.

THE POSITION

The SVP is responsible for the direction, strategy, planning and execution for the company’s operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the performance of the operations group.
  • Supports company officers in the development of long- and short-term policies, programs and objectives.
  • Coordinates development of operational requirements with the Sales & Marketing group.
  • Develops the manufacturing priorities, plans and procedures.
  • Directs all production planning, procurement, production, quality systems and shipping / receiving activities.
  • Develops the operating budgets and cost reduction goals.
  • Monitors performance against budgets and improvement goals.
  • Recruits and develops the manufacturing team to support the operational priorities and goals.
  • Establishes specific objectives and priorities for the performance of key managers.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business discipline; master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 to 20 years of executive leadership experience working in sizeable, fast-moving, entrepreneurial organizations with demonstrated P&L success. Multi-site experience is critical.
  • Solid Lean implementation experience with a proven ability to effect change and develop a rapid continuous improvement culture.
  • Strong leadership, project management and time management skills.
  • A clear communicator with the ability to translate a business strategy into specific team objectives, breaking down organizational boundaries through collaboration to build strong relationships based on trust with all levels of employees.
  • The candidate must be an engaged, working leader who is able to balance a day-to-day organizational focus with strategic initiatives.
