THE POSITION

The Senior Vice President, Operations functions as a key member of the executive leadership team and is the company’s leader for supply chain; logistics; sourcing; supplier negotiation; warehousing; customer service; inventory management; S&OP; quality and regulatory; and logistics-related deductions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Hire and develop the operations team. Create a culture of high performance, speed, agility, accountability, collaboration and a desire for continuous improvement.
  • Develop and execute a supply chain strategy that yields a highly responsive production and distribution environment capable of delivering best-in-class service and cost metrics.
  • Work cross-functionally to develop and implement an effective and efficient Sales and Operations Planning process. Develop the related KPIs to measure and improve forecast accuracy.
  • Drive short-term and long-term supply chain performance and cost reduction programs throughout the supply chain, utilizing Lean and other continuous improvement tools. Create the KPIs and scorecards to measure and report on the performance of third-party partners.
  • Strengthen relationships with existing suppliers; develop and grow a global supplier network to meet the business objectives for product development and innovation, procurement savings and supply continuity.
  • Develop and maintain training, processes, systems and metrics to ensure best-in-class customer service levels (i.e., OTIF scores); develop and maintain proactive communication protocols with customers to drive customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain and evolve a robust set of departmental KPIs and dashboards to monitor and measure performance (e.g., inventories, service levels, annual savings targets, forecast attainment, etc.).
