Our client is a contract manufacturer and injection molder.
THE POSITION
This leadership role will report directly to the CEO and have operational responsibility for the management of all manufacturing facilities. The role will have a key focus on oversight of supply chain including S&OP and procurement as well as continuous improvement / Lean and facilities. The SVP, Operations will be a part of a team supporting new business initiatives through strategic deployment of new processes, technologies and infrastructure as well as merger, acquisition and integration activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive business unit strategy for four facilities including evaluating operational footprint to revenue and EBITDA targets.
- Efficiently manage projects with an approved budget and proposed timeline.
- Provide education and training to site General Managers and support personnel to enable rapid sales and margin growth.
- Ensure knowledge transfer of existing technologies, processes and equipment across the company’s plants and facilities.
- Manage the integration of new technologies and processes as required.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and make long-term improvement recommendations; see recommendations through to implementation.
- Develop and implement strategies for manufacturing capabilities, including vertical integration supporting long-term business growth, profitability and market share expansion.
- Effectively integrate acquired companies while improving operating efficiencies.
- Seek efficiencies in operating costs in order to gain operating leverage with existing infrastructure.
- Make data-driven decisions on machine utilization, capex investments, customer prioritization and employees.
- Improve tracking of OEE across the organization and implement goals focused on maximizing OEE and quality.
- Further develop highly valued capabilities, such as liquid silicone injection molding, micro molding, etc.
- Support efforts to integrate completed add-ons effectively with minimal disruption both operationally and culturally.
- Focus on developing deeper relationships with customers, further underscoring engineer-to-engineer experience.
- Ensure all facilities operate safely and in accordance with the company’s H&S policies, including compliance with all applicable environmental, health and safety regulations.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in the sciences, engineering or business.
- Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience within a highly technical manufacturing operations, multi-site environment.
- End-to-end supply chain leadership experience including S&OP, distribution and sourcing (supplier quality, contract negotiation, etc.).
- Solid Lean manufacturing training and grasp of tools and enterprise-level deployment experience within disparate environments.
- Experience within a private equity or similarly intense and transformational culture.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, drive results and appropriate change and build followership.
- Successful experience with developing, implementing, leading and producing KPIs for operations.
