THE POSITION
The Operational Excellence Senior Vice President is responsible for leading Lean / continuous improvement / quality and environment management and transformational initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead Lean initiatives to develop a continuous improvement culture throughout the operations in order to deliver associated benefits (savings, lead-time, quality and service).
- Redesign and roll out the company’s Operational Excellence program.
- Build and animate a network of Lean / continuous improvement champions at site level and a small SWAT team at the operations level.
- Facilitate, train and coach senior leaders to build continuous improvement skillset.
- Promote, educate and instill a culture of engagement, accountability, countermeasure and waste identification and elimination.
- Assure quality of delivered products in accordance with technology and products specifications.
- Enhance quality standards and drive a zero-defect culture.
- Coordinate efforts in reducing the environmental impact of the operations and contribute to sustainability.
- Coordinate projects interfacing with all functional organization levels.
- Assist with establishing consistent metrics and performance monitoring systems across the organization.
- Provide management with quantifiable results and impact of Lean activities, resulting in significantly improved quality, lead time and service delivery.
SALARY RANGE:
$240,000 -- $260,000
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a hands-on, in-depth knowledge of Lean and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Master Black Belt or Lean certified equivalent.
- Knowledge of safety requirements and legal standards.
- Working knowledge of quality system requirements.
- Demonstrated capabilities in leading and implementing the practical application of the full range of Lean methods in process manufacturing related areas. Should have implemented Lean practices in several different operating environments.
- Must possess excellent leadership skills in change adoption and change management.
- Should have a minimum of 12 years of demonstrated Lean experience in a management and leadership role.
- Flexibility and travel will be required (Europe, U.S. and Asia).
