Principal Scientist

Our client owns brands in the consumer industry.
THE POSITION
The Scientist will be working on ensuring flawless execution of new product innovations or product enhancements, tech transfer of existing products and reformulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- In partnership with external suppliers, design; optimize; and implement manufacturing and filling processes across a variety of product forms.
- Support the transfer of production from previous sites to new external manufacturers.
- Troubleshoot issues in production, as needed.
- Enable the launch of new products by acting as an advisor for the Head of Formulation and Head of Packaging as new project briefs are being defined.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency and cost-savings purposes.
- Track the performance of manufacturing sites capability to anticipate and prevent future non-conformances.
- Maintain partnerships with the external sites in combination with the Quality & Regulatory Director.
- Draft and execute peer reviewed manuscripts and tech reports.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Three to 10 years of proven experience with B.S. or equivalent; 1-3 years of experience with MS preferably in consumer goods, cosmetics or related field.
- Understand formulation technology and chemical science.
- Understand GxPsand FDA Compliance requirements.
- Ability to partner effectively across a diverse set of business partners and customers to deliver key results in a timely manner.
- Entrepreneurial; owner mentality, willing to be hands-on and contribute as one team.
