Our client is a top consumer-focused private equity firm.
THE POSITION
The successful candidate will take an active role in helping assess the operational capabilities of a potential investment and will assist in the development and execution of the operations-centric value creation theses.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify portfolio company underlying issues and / or opportunities and formulate plans to address them.
- Collaborate with the investment team and outside partners to help identify areas of weakness, risk and opportunity before investment is made as well as throughout the investment lifecycle.
- Lead highly complex and comprehensive operations transformations as well as narrower operations projects designed to deliver against measurable value creation opportunities.
- Serve as a strategic advisor, key business decision influencer and thought partner to portfolio company executives and the investment team on operations matters.
- Build the capability of the Operations team by developing relevant playbooks.
- Develop and maintain a robust third-party network of consultants and solution providers to support portfolio improvement opportunities.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- The successful candidate will have at least 10 years of broad business experience working across relevant industries in operations.
- Seven to 10 years of significant operations experience, ideally including a mix of experience within large- or mid-cap companies and three to five years of top-tier consulting firm experience, focused on core manufacturing and supply chain issues.
- Ability to drive major business decisions across the entire set of key stakeholders.
- Private equity experience – either in an operating role as part of a PE firm, as a consultant to a PE firm or PE backed company or working within a private equity portfolio company.
