THE POSITION

The President provides leadership for all aspects of the company’s worldwide operations and subsidiaries with an emphasis on long-term goals, growth, profit, return on investment and the well-being of the employee owners.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Works with the Board of Directors and other executives to establish short-term objectives, long-range goals and related plans and policies for the company and its subsidiaries.
  • Presents regular reports on the status of the company’s operations to the Board of Directors and to company employee owners.
  • In concert with the Vice President of Finance, oversees the organization’s financial structure, ensuring adequate and sound funding and investments for the mission, goals and outstanding liabilities of the company.
  • In concert with the Vice President of Operations, oversees the manufacturing operations of the company and its subsidiaries. Provides leadership in the development, execution and continuous improvement of plans and strategies for products, process, technology and employees.
  • Ensures strict adherence to the quality program and all ISO related obligations.
  • Reviews the financial results of all worldwide operations and subsidiaries, comparing them with the company’s objectives and responding appropriately to correct unsatisfactory performance and results.
  • Ensures the company’s compliance with all applicable in-house policies, state and federal registrations, laws, rules, regulations and standards to maintain the company’s legality and business ethics.
  • Negotiates with other companies regarding actions such as mergers, acquisitions or joint ventures.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering; MBA is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 15 to 20 years of executive leadership experience working in sizeable, transformational organizations with demonstrated P&L success; geotechnical / structural instrumentation or electronics / sensors is desirable.
  • Experience leading multiple continuous improvement transformations in a manufacturing organization with a track record of successfully applying to a variety of Lean manufacturing competencies such as visual management, value stream mapping, standard work, policy deployment, one-piece flow, 5S, kaizen, etc.
  • Servant leader who focuses on developing and aligning an employee’s sense of purpose with the company vision and uses this leadership style to hire, develop, mentor, retain and motivate top talent.
