Director, Supply Chain

Our client is a provider of outdoor living products.
THE POSITION
The Director will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of the supply chain fulfillment operations, leading a team of professionals to ensure the efficient distribution and delivery of products. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of supply chain management principles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize the company’s warehousing and logistics operations.
- Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance, support and performance feedback.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, planning, manufacturing, logistics and sales to align strategies with overall business objectives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction and efficiency enhancement throughout the supply chain.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of supply chain operations.
- Implement best practices and industry standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
- Build and maintain relationships with logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
- Monitor market trends, economic factors and industry developments to anticipate changes and risks in the supply chain.
- Develop contingency plans and risk mitigation strategies to address disruptions and ensure business continuity.
- Drive initiatives to enhance sustainability, ethical sourcing and corporate social responsibility within the supply chain.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics or a related field; master's degree preferred.
- Ten-plus years of progressive experience in supply chain management with at least five years in a warehouse leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully optimizing supply chain operations and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
