Director, Strategic Facilities

Our client is a leading global provider of safety products.
THE POSITION
The Director will have overall responsibility for the strategic maintenance and operational activities for three properties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and / or guide local operational and tactical project teams.
- Ensure repairs and maintenance of the physical plant, offices, systems, interior and exterior of the facilities are completed timely and appropriately.
- Serve as the company’s representative on the Board of Trustees. This landlord / tenant organization is responsible for the ongoing management of the park including repair and maintenance, security and major project initiatives.
- Serve as the liaison for project planning, involving public works with local and state officials.
- Actively participate as a member of the Review Board in the preservation of existing areas for natural beauty and assure that buildings, structures, signs or other developments are in good taste, good design and harmonious with surrounding developments.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and external partners to set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor and summarize the progress of each real estate project.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field plus eight years’ facility management experience.
- Five to 10 years of construction project management experience, with significant focus in real estate project management and sustainable practices.
- Minimum three years of project management experience.
- Ability to travel 25%.
- Thorough understanding of building HVAC systems and other building infrastructure systems is preferred.
