THE POSITION

This position will oversee the day-to-day operations of the aluminum extrusion, fabrication, quality, packing and shipping functions of the plant. This Director will work as a key member of the leadership team to ensure that operational, revenue, customer and employee satisfaction goals are met and exceeded.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set the strategy for a long-term operational plan.
• Develop processes to improve inventory turns, efficiency and OEE while maintaining on-time delivery.
• Set an example in all exchanges that reinforces the company’s guiding principles: respect, trust, excellence, communication and teamwork.
• Ensure that projects meet specifications, target costs, schedules and approved budgets.
• Extensively interface and collaborate cross-functionally with sales, finance, sourcing, continuous improvement and people systems to execute projects and provide critical status communications to all stakeholders.
• Identify areas in which to invest to support future growth.
• Lead by example, hold team accountable and utilize data to make informed decisions.
• Continually seek ways to simplify operations and rationalize costs.
• Attract, train and mentor team. Communicate at a cadence that makes expectations and performance requirements clear.
