COO -- West Coast or Southwest (Closed)

THE COMPANY

Our client is a provider of subsurface infrastructure services.

THE POSITION

This person is responsible for all facets of the operation within a private equity infrastructure service environment, including but not limited to the health, safety and welfare for more than 400 hourly and salary team members across four sites within North America. The COO will have full financial responsibility, accountable for customer service and customer relationships; same-site sales; collaborate on new business; product quality; cost savings measures; accountability for significant performance improvement; and turnaround responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees compliance with state and federal regulations, doing the right things all the time.
  • Oversees full site P&L responsibility for the sites.
  • Responsible for personnel development, creating and supporting operational excellence.
  • Provides leadership for employee relations and labor relations through effective and respectful communications, coaching, training and development and business partnering of management team.
  • Ensures and drives customer support and satisfaction through providing world-class customer service through driving operational metrics.
  • Provides support for inside sales by expanding and driving service portfolio at individual sites.
  • Works with suppliers and vendors by driving improvement of equipment and materials used.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; preferably in engineering or equally technical discipline.
  • At least 20 years of multi-site operations leadership experience in a heavy industrial field services environment.
  • Strong grasp of Lean tools and proven experience driving enterprise level continuous improvement in a similar environment.
  • Private equity experience.
  • Experience with M&A due diligence and integration.
