THE POSITION

The Chief Operating Officer focuses on fostering a high-performance culture, aligning operational excellence with strategic vision and driving transformative change. This is an opportunity for an experienced and astute operations executive to structure seamless and safe operations that enable the company’s growth and profitability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the team that sets the tone, the expectations and the actions that drive best-in-class EH&S performance and create the metrics, systems and benchmarks to measure it.
  • Collaboratively develop and consistently achieve financial, strategic and organizational objectives.
  • Lead a team of manufacturing, EH&S, supply chain and engineering executives.
  • Implement strategies to develop bench strength and retain top talent at all levels.
  • Charter each of the departments under the COO role and create the appropriate strategy and annual plans for each. Ensure that these plans are achieved.
  • Draft the overall manufacturing strategy and see the site strategy of each manufacturing location is drafted and linked with the overall operations strategy.
  • Draft the supply chain and logistics strategy for the company. Work with the President and Business Unit (BU) leaders to develop plans and processes that meet the specific needs of each BU and the relevant manufacturing and distribution sites.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high performance across operations functions, optimizing productivity, efficiency and cost working together with other functions to ensure the company’s goals for growth profitability are met.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 10 years of cumulative leadership experience in either manufacturing, supply chain or logistics.
  • Proven track record of leading and improving the operations of a major enterprise.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver on rapidly increasing product demand.
  • Part of an organization experiencing intensive organic and inorganic growth.
  • Successfully implemented controls, processes and risk management initiatives, including the supporting systems to manage operational and financial performance.
  • Ten-plus years of execution-led operations management with a demonstrated track record of success across multiple operations functions and manufacturing sites, including international experience.
  • Excited to work in a private equity company; ability to be tactical and strategic.
