Vice President, Operations -- Midwest (Closed)

THE COMPANY

Our client is a leading provider of label and packaging printing equipment.

THE POSITION

The VP, Operations will lead a group to optimize functions including supply chain, logistics, quality, manufacturing, safety, service and technical support. This critical leadership role oversees all operations from procurement to manufacturing, including project management; demand / supply planning; and forecasting / S&OP across four verticals and OEM suppliers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, communicate and drive operations strategy across the company, adapting to changing business scales.
  • Lead the Lean transformation, including implementation of KPIs and visual management systems.
  • Assist with setting target goals; monitor progress and adjust plans as needed to meet goals; and analyze initiatives for KPIs and suggest improvement.
  • Support growth initiatives, whether organic or through acquisitions, in collaboration with senior management.
  • Foster a data-driven culture by collaborating with finance on profitability analysis and KPI development.
  • Implement strategic procurement to optimize vendor selection, pricing and performance.
  • Ensure exceptional customer experience through control of maintenance, repair and SLA dynamics.
  • Drive operational excellence through Lean manufacturing and other best operational practices.
  • Lead standard manufacturing, service, support and quality scorecard metrics.
  • Integrate departments and regions to promote a collaborative environment.
  • Communicate effectively across all levels of the company to ensure performance plans' thorough execution.
