Continuous Improvement Leader -- Mid-Atlantic

THE POSITION

The ideal candidate is passionate about driving continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing processes and fostering a culture of efficiency and innovation within the organization. As a key member of the team, the person will play a pivotal role in identifying areas for improvement, implementing Lean methodologies and driving sustainable change to enhance operational effectiveness and drive business growth.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive end-to-end Lean transformation projects, including planning, implementation and evaluation phases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities and develop comprehensive Lean strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Analyze existing processes, identify inefficiencies and implement Lean methodologies to streamline workflows, reduce waste and enhance productivity.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on Lean principles, tools and techniques to build capability and empower employees to drive improvement at all levels of the organization.
  • Provide guidance and support to stakeholders at all levels to ensure buy-in and successful implementation of lean initiatives.
  • Help establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of lean initiatives. Monitor progress and track performance metrics.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, operations management or a related field; master’s preferred.
  • Five-plus years of experience leading both Lean improvements in a reputable organization following a formal management systems approach.
  • Deep knowledge of and hands-on experience training and implementing TPS-based business systems.
  • Industry background that includes working in project-based / engineered-to-order, low volume / high mix and metals manufacturing environments.
