Our client is an industrial manufacturer.
THE POSITION
Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Financial Officer is responsible for providing strategic and operational direction for the financial management of our client to ensure continued growth and success.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitors the financial health of the organization and works proactively to ensure the it’s financially successful.
- Works to improve and standardize processes in all areas of finance.
- Evaluates and keeps apprised of corporate structures, financing, legal risks, tax, real estate and compliance regulations.
- Understands how to translate financial options into business strategy to mitigate risk and increase profitability.
- Functions as a key member of the senior executive team and as an advisor and leader to management on financial matters.
- Builds strong relationships with leadership, management and employees.
- Develops and communicates the finance and accounting strategic plan and vision to all levels of the organization.
- Leads and mentors the Director of Finance, Controller and a team of accountants.
- Oversees financial policies, procedures and controls to ensure compliance and to mitigate risk while increasing value.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field; MBA and / or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 15–20 years of accounting experience in progressive roles with five years of leadership experience.
- A background working in a publicly traded defense or aerospace job shop environment.
- In-depth knowledge of SEC Reporting, Percentage of Completion Method and US GAAP.
