Director of Quality - South

Description

The company provides products and services that play a critical role in the collection and distribution of natural gas. The company's technical and operational expertise allows them to offer our customers the resources and service they need to be profitable in a highly competitive global market.

Key Accountabilities:

• Hands-on role in leading and guiding by direct example and empowerment to achieve a world-class quality organization

• Initiates and coordinates the actions necessary to achieve the QA Systems (ISO 9000).

• Establishes and specifies quality assurance procedures, manufacturing processes and SPC programs used by manufacturing and raw materials.

• Performs internal and external quality assurance systems audits

• Coordinates with CTS and Operations to make sure raw materials, product and process technology meet current customer needs.

• Works with R&D and Central Engineering on process technology and product development.

• Manages and develops all Process Engineers.

• Develops profound process and product knowledge through variation studies, customer performance requirements and process trials.

• Leads continuous improvement projects.

• Enforces the QA System.

• Takes ownership of delivering resolution of quality related issues as reported by customers.

Position Requirements:

• Experience leading a high-performing quality team in a demanding environment.

• Strong technical background including experience leading problem solving efforts using classical structured problem solving methodologies, such as LeanSix Sigma, Shainin Red X Strategy, Design of Experiments and/or Fishbone diagrams.

• Ten years of combined experience in Production, QA, CTS functional roles.

• Technical understanding of raw materials, processes, and facilities.

• Quality Management training in SPC, ISO 9000, DOE, and Quality Engineering.

• Must have a four-year degree in Engineering or Science.

Preferred Experience:

• Six Sigma Black Belt.

• Experience working in metals and/or industrial raw materials industries.
