Director of Sales and Business Development - South
Description
Our client is a unique firm that helps transportation agencies develop and plan their systems and provides integration support and development for any intelligent transportation systems (ITS) project.
Key Accountabilities:
• Will drive gross margin growth through development of new accounts in new avenues and sales channels and expanding the existing market.
• Proactively work to develop new accounts.
• Work with Engineering and Marketing to develop products that will increase customer satisfaction while capturing the voice of the customer.
• Provide proactive leadership directly and through the development of direct reports. Demonstrate and create the behaviors needed to support a world class work environment.
• Contribute to the development, execution, and delivery of the company’s annual and long-term operating plan.
Position Requirements:
• We seek an accomplished “lead-by-example” leader with strong people skills, a minimum of eight years hands-on Sales Management and Business development experience with a strategic focus and experience selling to government agencies.
• Must have a Masters or Bachelor’s degree
• We require the successful candidate to possess excellent team building and leadership skills. Must be able to demonstrate a track record of mentoring, assessing the talent level, training, and development of employees including hiring a staff of outside salespeople.
• The successful candidate will have experience working in a company that developed hardware and embedded firmware for their market.
