Vice President of Manufacturing - East

Description

The company is a manufacturer of equipment used in both commercial and residential markets.

Specific Responsibilities:

• This position will also manage, direct, and oversee operations strategies and objectives to ensure the achievement of division’s goals.

• 10 Manufacturing sites

• Global supplier base

• Develop the organizational structure to carry out the operations plan in support of strategic objectives. This includes: planning, developing, and participating in long-term and short-term goals and objectives as related to the business.

• Establish and/or maintain Best in Class manufacturing practices

• Develop and establish organizational policies and objectives. Strategies are customer focused, realized by being the best value supplier.

• Ensure activities are identified by the Lean and the plant-level teams and actions are being taken to realize goals set for the plant.

• Develop and review reports and financial statements to determine progress toward objectives.

• Revise objectives and plans according to current conditions.

• Direct and oversee the operation transformation team to maximize return on investment.

• Collaborate and advise the product team on making the most cost-effective sourcing decisions.

• Coordinate needed support to operations areas through intradepartmental interface from smooth workflow and cost-efficient product.

• Direct the implementation of new manufacturing processes and product or systems technology to meet the company’s goals.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice President Operations to support business goals

• This position will require approximately 40% travel, both domestic and international.

Experience/Education Required/Sought:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred or other related discipline. MBA preferred.

• Minimum of 10 years of relative work experience in operations.

• Minimum of five years experience managing a in a multi-plant capacity, international preferred

• Experience working in a matrix environment.

• Demonstrated experience with Lean techniques

• Demonstrated success in project and program management
