Supplier Development Manager - Mid-Atlantic
Description
The company operates more than 35 plants in nine countries and sells their products primarily through wholesale distributors and home improvement chains.
Position Requirements:
• BA/BS degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience.
• At least 10 years of progressive procurement experience or 10 or more years of continuous improvement.
• Must be qualified to facilitate Lean training and able to use Lean tools and methods at a supplier's location.
• Experience in change management techniques.
• Participation in at least one successful transformational experience wherein Lean or Six Sigma was used as part of the catalyst and foundation for the change (a project that lasted more than 12 months).
• Experience scoping and leading 40 or more Kaizen events or similar Six Sigma or rapid improvement events.
• Proven success working with a team to define, measure, maintain and track out KPI goals, such as reducing supply chain costs, improving through-put, shortening cycle time, and improving inventory turns.
Preferred:
• Lean certification
• MBA
• SAP and business warehousing data manipulation experience.
• CPM or ISM /NAPM credentials.
