Vice President Manufacturing - Mid-Atlantic

The company is a manufacturer of market-leading brands of highly engineered building products for residential and commercial markets.

The Position:

Reporting into the Senior Vice President of Operations, the Vice President Manufacturing will have direct responsibility for the manufacturing operations including all key performance and budgetary metrics. The successful candidate will be expected to deploy the tools of lean/quality systems to drive continuous improvement throughout the operation and will strongly participate in the new product development process to ensure the company maintains an innovative product leadership position in the marketplace.

Experience Required:

• We seek an accomplished “lead-by-example” tactical change agent with strong people skills, a minimum of seven-to-ten-plus years of hands-on operations leadership experience with, preferably, at least five years in a management role.

• The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of ean concepts including but not limited to: 5S, visual controls, value stream mapping, kaizen techniques, TPM, experience implementing and sustaining daily improvement management concepts, policy deployment, etc.

• Must have prior experience in leading or as part of a core team that led a lean transformation with measurable and sustainable results.

• BS (four-year) degre.

• Must have a broad multi-functional understanding of manufacturing, product development, supply chain and logistics and be able to show positive results in those functional areas.

Experience Preferred

• Experience in working in the plastic processing industry with a focus in plastic processing equipment and tooling familiarity.

• Advanced degree.
