The company employs approximately 34,000 people across 60 divisions and community hospital systems. There are 1,600 salaried physicians on staff, representing 120 specialties and subspecialties.

Key Accountabilities:
The Process Improvement (PI) Project Manager will be part of an internal team focused on supporting the hospital network in utilizing problem-solving tools to address clinical and non-clinical issues. The problem-solving tools will exist on a spectrum aligned with the complexity of the issues ranging from simpler tools, e.g. simple brainstorming/collaborative problem-solving and Plan Do Check Act methods to the more complex Lean principles. As the organization matures in continuous improvement, the strategy is to provide knowledge transfer for the simpler tools to the organization and lead the use of the more complex tools in a consulting-type model. In the case of the latter, he/she will have broad exposure across the enterprise and will be expected to lead lean project teams and assist in the development of lean solutions throughout the organization’s institutions including nursing units, clinical support departments, administrative/business functions, environmental services, etc. Implementation support will include teaching, mentoring, and execution.
Position Requirements:
• The candidate we seek will have at least two years of experience in applying Lean principles and strong problem solving skills. He/she will have been part of a team that led multiple successful applications of the principles and will have direct project management experience.
• Experience in team facilitation and project management is critical. Must show a history of leading teams/projects and a track record of successfully hitting goals. Specific project management and lean application experience in business process areas such as human resources, IT, etc., is a strong preference.
• Must have a four-year degree. BS in business or engineering is preferable.
• We seek an individual with excellent people and presentation skills as well as the ability to develop relationships quickly.

Previous experience working in a healthcare environment.
